Alice Griffith

Alice is pleased as punch to have been teaching drama and music at The Academy Tutorial since her first children were old enough to attend in 2003. She is currently in her 27th year of homeschooling, with only 8 more to go! She holds degrees from Harding University and Belmont University, both in music education, with an emphasis in piano performance. Her favorite composers are Chopin, Ravel, Copland, Rodgers, and some members of her immediate family. Her greatest delight is experiencing the electricity of opening night, which she gets to share with the Musical Theater students and their parents every spring. Teaching drama and music to homeschoolers is simply giving them a safe place to do what they already know, and it’s the best job in the world. Alice and her husband, John, moved back to Bellevue from Pleasant View in 2020 and have five sons, two daughters, three daughters-in-law, and three adorable grandsons.
