Clay Smith

Clay went to Union University for his undergraduate studies and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for medical school. He did residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and completed residencies in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and subsequently, Emergency Medicine. He is board certified in these three specialties. He works clinically in the adult and pediatric emergency departments at Vanderbilt and has an administrative role with the Vanderbilt Health Clinics at Walgreens locations. He also has a medical blog and podcast. Clay is married to Joy, and they have seven children, all of whom have been home schooled, with four of them attending The Academy Tutorial. Clay also serves on the The Academy Tutorial board.
